Email Two: President Poser Subject: Re: Courage (and Other Leadership Myths) Dear President Poser, Thank you for today’s masterclass in conflict avoidance and your own weinery. I see now that rather than speaking to me directly, your preferred communication method is triangulation through subordinates. Bold strategy, sir. Nothing says “strong leadership” like hiding behind people who need your approval. I’ll try to remember that next time you give a speech about “open dialogue” and “transparency.” I suppose it's easier to be transparent when there’s absolutely nothing inside. Have the day you deserve. Your biggest unfan P.S. I know your next LinkedIn post about “bravery in leadership” will;get the standing ovation it deserves: from you, in your own mirror.

I need to go through the dark to get to the light, again. To cope, this time though, I will write the emails folks deserve, but then, not send them. Lord knows I'd be sent to HR just for holding eyegaze too long at this point! Cast of characters (so far): Ms. D. Flex – Middle-Management Coordinator of “Key Services.” Takes everything personally and fixes nothing professionally. A virtuoso of deflectio...
